Absentee Voting (Ballot By Mail)
A voter who is over 65, out of the county during early voting or election day, disabled or confined in jail who prefers to vote by mail may request an absentee ballot from the Brazos County County Clerk's office.
An absentee ballot request must be submitted for each election and be received by the County Clerk no later than 7 days prior to the election. An individual application or letter is needed for each person requesting an absentee ballot. The application must include name, address where the person is registered, address where to send the ballot, reason for voting by mail, political party (for primary elections) and signature.
Military and Civilians Overseas
Military and spouse or dependents of military and civilians overseas will need to get an FPCA application (PDF). This application is good for 2 federal elections (approximately 2-4 years). A blank application and more information can be obtained from the federal government at www.fvap.gov or www.overseasvotefoundation.org.
Your Absentee Ballot must be received by the County Clerk's office before the close of the polls at 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
